Unable to set regarding field in emails with certain Security Roles

I am currently testing out a CRM instance with the trial. What I would like to do is:

If an email arrives in the system I would like to use the 'regarding' field to link the email into a case. The case is already created and if I am logged in with a account with 'System Administrator' security role - I can do exactly as I want. However - I have an account set to 'CSR Manager' security role - and this won't let me do it. The lookup button at the end of the regarding field is greyed out. Any idea which permission I need to allow to activate this function for the CSR Manager role?
