I am fighting today to try to install the CRM 2015 Outlook plugin but it keeps failing while telling me that I have a pre-IE version 8 and that my version is 0.  I don't know where it is getting this information from.  My IE is actually at 11 right now and my registry settings look right for that version.

Here is my install log:

I am writing a plugin in Dynamics CRM on Opportunity Update and want to send Opportunity data to SharePoint Online List as an Item.

I was using the following details to connect to SharePoint on Premises that worked fine, but now when I connect to SharePoint Online it generated "Access Denied" etc Security Error.

string _siteUrl = "mxxxxxx11.sharepoint.com";
string _userName = "xxxxxxx365@XXXXXX.onmicrosoft.com";
string _password = "pXXXXXXX23";
string _domain = "mydemo11@onmicrosoft.com";

com.sharepoint.domain.Lists listService = new com.sharepoint.domain.Lists();
listService.Url = _siteUrl;
listService.Credentials = new System.Net.NetworkCredential(_userName, _password,_domain);

System.Xml.XmlNode ndListView = listService.GetListAndView("Account", "");
string strListID = ndListView.ChildNodes[0].Attributes["Name"].Value;
string strViewID = ndListView.ChildNodes[1].Attributes["Name"].Value;

The above code worked for on Premises SharePoint Server but not for SharePoint Online,

Please guide me how to connect to a SharePoint Online from CRM online Plugin.

Our governmental organization has just received the "Thank you for registering with the Volume Licensing Service Center" email.  We spent about two hours yesterday trying all the links to figure out how to "activate" and get going; all to no avail.

Can someone share what we should expect with the activation process?  Are we supposed to be getting more emails/instructions, or was that it?

Thanks!

Unexpected Error on sending email with SDK

Dear Experts,

I am trying to send an email with "SendEmailRequest" request. But, receiving an error as "Unexpected Error". Same application is working fine in DEV environement but when I moved to Prod it is throwing the error at sending email step.

I have observed below:

1. When I execute the application in DEV environment, email is getting created by Administrator and I am using Administrator as From so email is sending without any error.

2. When I deploy the application in Prod, email is getting created and owned by "SYSTEM" user and I am using Administrator as From to send email.

I suspect SYSTEM is cant send email on behalf of Administrator user.

Is my assumption is right? or any other ways to make it work?

Please suggest..Thanks in advance.

CRM 2015 - opening records on a grid obtained from fetchData.aspx

Hello

Firstly I would like to note that what I'm trying to achieve might not be a supported customization in CRM 2015. I'm creating a custom HTML resource which contains an iframe. Then I'm making a request to /AdvancedFind/fetchData.aspx to obtain grid html with results of a custom fetchXml query and injecting it into the iframe (my method is similar to one described here in guruprasadcrm.blogspot.com.au/.../displaying-view-in-iframe-crm-2011.html). The grid is rendered correctly but when I double click on a record its form is displayed in the same iframe and not in a new window which is undesirable for me. Have any of you tried doing something like this before and found a solution to this problem?

Sincerely,

Paweł Grudzień

Expected behavior for incoming email delivered via email router

$

Hi,

Our on-premise CRM 2013 (6.1.3) installation reads e-mail arriving at a few unattended addresses to queues in CRM. E-mail router was chosen a while ago because of some attachment issues with the "new" server-side sync functionality.

Our customer e-mail data is usually very tidy and not duplicated, however we do have cases where spouses and partners in the consumer segment reuse their email addresses when they fill out their self-service profiles. When they send messages to one of the unattended email addresses, the email router reads and tracks all messages, and the "from" field always contains a single entity.

What is the expected behavior in CRM when two entities of the same kind have the same email address? It is hard to find official documentation on this for CRM 2013, and my previous experience and test results indicate it will select the first created, however there seems to be an ordering of entities as well (systemuser before account, account before contact) although I am unable to find a definitive source of knowledge stating this. Several blog posts conflict with each other, so I am thinking there might be version differences, or even methods of overriding the default. Any experts on the email router out there?

Thanks.
